Yes, he is a black man, and yes, he is our president.
1. He won the election with the largest voter turnout ever, and he won the majority vote fair and square (without my vote).
2. In this country, I am glad to say, we have a Congress as well as a Supreme Court and a President - All three provide checks and balances against each other.
3. I (along with many others) have been disappointed by several previous presidents, and proud of others.
4. I hope and pray that Obama will make a good president, but I do not in any way expect him to be a dictator (for all the reasons in number 2 above).
5. I say, let's give him a chance and then pass judgment on him.
6. I have visited several foreign countries and have studied many of their forms of government, and I would not for a minute choose to live any place other than here.
7. I also thank God Almighty that we live in a country that selects its leaders by a vote of the majority of its legal residents. I also believe that if a person does not care enough for this country to vote, he (or she) gets the government they deserve!
